Steven J. Muir Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards that vary in amount.

Description

Steven J. Muir was initiated a Teke of Beta-Eta Chapter at the University of Missouri-Rolla, where he earned a B.S. degree in Ceramic Engineering. A Knight of Apollo, Muir served as Chapter Services Director on the TKE Staff. He joined the Board of Directors of the TKE Foundation in 1996, and is past chairman of the Board. He is a Life Loyal Teke and serves on the Foundation Advisory Council. The Steven J. Muir Scholarship is awarded in recognition of academic achievement to a member. Recipients must exemplify outstanding leadership within the chapter, having served as a chapter officer or committee chair. The applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or any of the pure sciences (i.e., chemistry, mathematics, physics, geology, etc.). Preference will first be given to a member of the Beta-Eta chapter, but if there is no qualified applicant, the scholarship will be open to any other qualified Teke.
