The Elizabeth Gilbert Bowling Family Scholarship, with an application deadline in October, offers one award in the amount of $1500. Location restrictions exist.

Description

The Elizabeth Gilbert Bowling Family Scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a degree in nursing. To be eligible for a South Florida Fair scholarship, the student must have completed their junior year in high school, be a permanent resident of Florida and reside in one of the eligible counties. Additional credit will be given if the applicant is, or has been, a participant in the South Florida Fair's activities. Activities may consist of judging events, exhibits, livestock and agriculture activities, volunteering or any other fair related activity. Membership in 4-H or FFA is not required. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation with their application. The selection committee requires a personal interview with the applicant.
