Description

The Weil Family Foundation Black Student Scholarship will be awarded to current graduating seniors from a high school located in San Diego county who plan to enroll at an institution in the United States in the Fall. Applicants must be involved in the community through their participation in extracurricular or religious activities or volunteer or work experience. A letter of recommendation from someone who knows the applicant from an academic perspective is required, in addition to the scholarship application. Scholars are required to identify a personal mentor by November 1st of their freshman college year. This mentor is ideally an upperclassman from a background similar to the applicant.
