Description

The Western Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Scholarship supports college juniors and seniors pursuing careers in transportation or related fields. Applicants must be enrolled at least half time at a four-year institution and demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA, which is required. Preference is given to students with a GPA of 3.00 or higher and a clear academic or professional interest in transportation. The scholarship may be renewed annually for up to three years. As part of the application, students must submit a brief essay describing transportation's contribution to the State of Oregon, highlighting their understanding of the field's societal impact. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC.
