Description

The William Everett and Mary Ellen Mealman Scholarship will be awarded to middle and high school students to help them escape from the cycle of poverty through education assistance. Applicants must demonstrate good moral character, financial need, determination and the potential for academic success. Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited secondary or post-secondary educational institution. Applicants whose past academic performance may have been average, but they must exhibit the promise of a greater academic success through the application of improved study habits, should be given strong consideration. Preference may be given to applicants attending or planning to attend a two year college offering an associates degree, community college or Baker University.
