Top STEM Scholarships

The St. Cloud State University Childers Family Endowed Scholarship is open to students who graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School and intend to major in business or computer science.

The Ann and Doug Sickles Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student, with preference given to a student who graduated from Aurora, Marionville, Miller, Mount Vernon, Pierce City or Verona Missouri High School. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in health science or social science. In the application, applicants must describe their participation in community service. The Donald and Ruth Agnes Kaplan Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to residents of Waterbury, Watertown, Naugatuck, Cheshire, Prospect or Woodbury for more than four years. Students must be attending college in New England, NY state, or Israel, and majoring in a health-care related field. The John C. Bajus Scholarship will be awarded to graduate or undergraduate students currently enrolled in or accepted into a 2-year or 4-year marine studies program at an accredited college, university, or technical institution. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to community service and/or volunteer activities. Outgoing high school seniors are eligible to apply for an MTS scholarship if they have been accepted into a marine studies program. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation. The letter of recommendation should be from a teacher, counselor, professor, advisor, co-op, or internship supervisor who can speak to the applicant's experiences in a marine-related context, including research conducted. The Byrd Kelly Endowed Medical Student Scholarship Fund is available to students enrolled at the Stritch School of Medicine, with preference for students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the University.

The Barbara K. Spaniak, MD Medical Student Scholarship Fund is awarded to students enrolled at the University's Stritch School of Medicine. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need, as determined by the University.

The James Flack Norris and Theodore William Richards Undergraduate Summer Research Scholarships are open to students who are majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or molecular biology and must anticipate having completed at least two full years of college-level chemistry before summer 2025. While sophomore students are eligible, preference will be given to junior undergraduate applicants with a greater level of research experience. Award winners are required to submit a report of their summer projects to the Editor of The Nucleus by November 1st, 2025 for publication in The Nucleus.
