In an effort to increase educational and professional opportunities for international students, Full Sail University introduces the Intensive English Alumni Scholarship Program. This program is designed to offer assistance to deserving alumni passionate about advancing their career and education in the entertainment media industry. In order to be eligible for consideration, applicants must have successfully completed a Full Sail Intensive English certificate program and be in good academic and financial standing; be a non-US citizen or nonpermanent resident as defined by Full Sail University; and start a degree program within 60 days of completing the requirements of the Intensive English certificate program. The Matthew S. Therrien $1000 Memorial Award is available to outstanding students majoring in English at UH Hilo. The Dr. James V. D. Card Scholarship Fund was established to assist an undergraduate or graduate student who is majoring in English. The recipient must demonstrate financial need. The admission deadline for the Fall semester is February 1 and the admission deadline for the Spring semester is November 1. The Dev Hathaway Memorial English Department Scholarship is presented to entering first-year students enrolled in an undergraduate degree program administered by the English Department. Recipients must have graduated in the top fifth of their high school class.
