Carl Hill Memorial Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards of $500 each. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Carl Hill Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a student who must be a resident of Delaware or an adjacent county in Maryland, New Jersey or Pennsylvania. They must be enrolled or registered for one of the following educational programs at the time of the award: Bachelor Degree program at University of Delaware's College of Business and Economics, related to a career in the financial services industry; or classes required for a professional designation program offered at the American College of Financial Services. Applicants must have less than five years of experience total in any of the financial services industry fields (in a non-administrative capacity). Preference will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria: (1) demonstrate a commitment to the community through volunteer service at a public charity; (2) are pursuing one of the following professional designations: CFP, ChFC, ChSNC, FSCP, RICP, WMCP; (3) or are pursuing a degree in Accounting or Financial Planning and Wealth Management.
