Description

The George A. Strait Minority Scholarship and Fellowship honors the memory of longtime AALL member, and distinguished law librarian, George A. Strait. The endowment was established by Thomson Reuters in partnership with AALL. Applicants must be enrolled in an ALA-accredited library graduate school program; or law school in the U.S. They must intend to pursue a career in law librarianship. Law library experience, including relevant course selections, is considered in the selection process but is not required. Applicants must submit their most recent transcript (official or student copy) from their current institution, and the institution which granted their most recent degree. If not yet enrolled, an official letter of acceptance must be submitted. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation from persons who have knowledge of the applicant's abilities and experience.
