Pride Foundation Political Leadership Scholarship, with an application deadline in January, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Political Leadership Scholarship will be awarded to students studying law, political science, public policy, or public administration with the goal of improving the rights of LGBTQ+ people. Preference is given to LGBTQ+ students of color and low-income or first-generation college students. Applicants must be pursuing post-secondary education in the coming 2025-2026 school year. Three essays are required, the Personal Statement and the Community Involvement essay may be submitted in written form or a video essay. Optional materials that can be included with the application are academic transcripts; a resume with work experience, school activities and honors, and extracurricular and community activities, including volunteer roles, arts, and/or activism; a letter of recommendation; and 1-2 writing or art samples. Transcripts are only required for applicants from Washington. Applicants from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, or Oregon are not required to submit transcripts.
