Graduate student scholarships: Find free money for grad school

The SPIE-BACUS Scholarship recognizes outstanding contributions to the photomask industry that have at least one of the following attributes: a fundamental change or innovation, an enduring contribution, and/or an enabling contribution. This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student in the field of microlithography with an emphasis on optical tooling and/or semiconductor manufacturing technologies. Applicants must be a student member of SPIE. The SPIE-BACUS Scholarship was set up in 1998 to reward the most qualified students who wish to work in the fields of photomask and microlithography manufacturing for the semiconductor industry. The Navigate Your Future Scholarship is offered to a high school graduate continuing his or her education in the aviation industry. Applicants must be seniors in high school planning a career in the general aviation field; be enrolled or accepted into an aviation-related program at an accredited college or university; and submit a letter of acceptance from the college or university. Applicants must be able to demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in general aviation. Interested students must complete an application and submit it along with the following required documents no later than the last Friday in June. The AACAP Educational Outreach Program for General Psychiatry Residents provides the opportunity for general psychiatry residents to receive a formal overview to the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, establish child and adolescent psychiatrists as mentors and experience the 2025 AACAP Annual Meeting, October 20-25, 2025. Participants will be exposed to the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, including research opportunities, access to mentors, and various networking opportunities. Participation in this program provides a reimbursable post-meeting award stipend. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a residency program in the United States, in their first, second or third year of general psychiatry training, beginning July 2025 and at the time of AACAP's 2025 Annual Meeting. Triple Boarders at the PGY1 - PGY3 level as of July 2025 are also eligible. Participants must attend all AACAP Annual Meeting events specified by AACAP, during the dates of Tuesday thru Friday of the meeting, and are required to sign up as an Annual Meeting monitor. While past Educational Outreach Program recipients are eligible to apply, priority will be given to first time applicants. The applicant's Residency Program Director must submit a completed Training Verification and Endorsement form indicating good standing from the applicant's training program, along with a letter of support. The letter should indicate how long the faculty member or mentor has known the applicant and in what capacity. In describing the candidate, it would be helpful for the letter to address the applicant's training, qualifications, accomplishments, interest in the child and adolescent psychiatry specialty, motivation for this award, and the potential benefits of the candidate attending the Annual Meeting, as appropriate. The AACAP Mentorship Grants for Medical Students provides the opportunity for medical students to attend the 2025 AACAP Annual Meeting, October 20-25, 2025 in Chicago, IL , and receive an introduction into the field of child and adolescent psychiatry through AACAP's Annual Meeting mentorship events. Applicants must be enrolled in a medical school in the United States beginning July 2025 and at the time of the AACAP Annual Meeting in October 2025. Participants must be in good standing at their medical school. Participants must attend all AACAP Annual Meeting events specified by AACAP. Medical students must be AACAP members or pending at the time of their application to be considered. Applicants must submit a letter of support from a faculty member or mentor. The letter should indicate how long the faculty member or mentor has known the applicant and in what capacity. In describing the candidate, it would be helpful for the letter to address the applicant's training, qualifications, accomplishments, interest in the child and adolescent psychiatry specialty, motivation for this award, and the potential benefits of the candidate attending the Annual Meeting, as appropriate. In addition, a letter of good standing from the applicant's medical school must be sent directly to AACAP. The Joseph Frasca Excellence in Aviation Scholarship was established through the University Aviation Association to encourage others to reach the highest level of achievement in their aviation studies. It is bestowed upon those who demonstrate a commitment and devotion to aviation in the tradition of Joseph Frasca. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of excellence in activities, studies, events, organizations, etc., related to aviation. They must have Federal Aviation Administration certification or qualifications in either aviation maintenance or flight. Applicants must also have membership in at least one Aviation organization such as Alpha Eta Rho, NIFA Flying Team, Experimental Aircraft Association, Warbirds of America, etc. They must demonstrate involvement in Aviation activities, projects, events, etc., which will demonstrate an interest and an enthusiasm for aviation. Applicants must also be currently enrolled in a UAA member institution. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated interest or experience in aviation simulation; have demonstrated interest or experience in aircraft restoration; have demonstrated interest or experience in aerobatics; work experience in aviation; work experience while in school; and/or financial need. An essay is optional and may be submitted. Completion will enhance the student's application packet and noncompletion will not eliminate them from consideration.
