The Charles Kunz Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to eligible applicants including nurses pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing (RN to BSN). Applicants must be a current ENA member in good standing. Applicants must be attending an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution and must provide verification of the institution's current accreditation. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a current ENA member in good standing. Previous scholarship recipients are ineligible to reapply under the same category. However, qualified previous recipients may apply for the next category. The ENA Foundation Pamela Stinson Kidd Doctoral Scholarship will be awarded to eligible applicants, including emergency nurses pursuing a doctoral degree (PhD or DNP). Applicants must be a current member of ENA in good standing. Applicants must be attending an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution and must provide verification of the institution's current accreditation. Applicants who are more than six months beyond the completion of all formal coursework and comprehensive examinations are ineligible to apply for this scholarship. Applicants who have received ENA Foundation scholarship support for other educational levels in the past are eligible to apply again at the doctoral level. Previous doctoral scholarship recipients are also eligible to reapply in the doctoral category. The Ripple Scholarship is an emergency fund to provide College of Nursing students with financial assistance to minimize unforeseen financial barriers that arise in emergency situations. The M.D. "Jack" Murphy Memorial Nurses Training Scholarship is available to a Missouri boy or girl training to be a Registered Nurse, and may be used in their freshman or subsequent college years. The student must have graduated in the top forty percent of their high school class or have a "C" or equivalent standing from their last college or university semester. The scholarship may, by application, be extended for a second year. Basic criteria for the scholarship awards require the students to be under the age of 21, unmarried, and a descendant of a veteran with at least ninety days active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. A photocopy of the veteran's DD 214, discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application. The Health Resources and Services Administration is offering the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program, which provides support to nursing students in exchange for a minimum two-year, full-time service commitment (or part-time equivalent) at an eligible health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses. Students must be accepted or enrolled at an accredited school of nursing located in the United States or territory, and be pursuing a nursing degree or certificate program. Types of eligible nursing programs include: Diploma in Nursing; Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Graduate-level nurse practitioners; Graduate-level registered nurse and advanced practice registered nurse; and Bridge Nursing Graduate-level. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen (either U.S. born or naturalized), U.S. National, or Lawful Permanent Resident. They must provide acceptable documentation of their status. Funding preference is given to applicants with the greatest financial need. Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation, one academic and one non-academic. If the applicant is currently enrolled in the nursing program, the academic recommendation letter should be from the department chair, faculty advisor, or a faculty member of that academic program who can attest to the applicant's qualifications. If the applicant has not begun the training associated with the scholarship, the signed letter should be from the department chair, faculty advisor, or a faculty member of the applicant's most recent academic program. The non-academic recommendation letter should be from an individual who is familiar with the applicant's professional, community, and/or civic activities, especially those related to underserved communities and, if applicable, federal pipeline program experience. The recommender can be an employer or previous employer, community leader, colleague, or anyone who has knowledge of the applicant's interest and motivation to provide care to underserved communities. The Griffin Utility Club ASN Tuition, Textbook, and Toolbox Scholarship is available to a female nursing student who is a Spalding County resident. If awarded, $250 of the funds will be applied to tuition, and $250 will be applied to the bookstore for course-required textbooks and/or tools. The Inger Lawrence - M.R. Bauer Foundation Nursing Studies Scholarship will be awarded to students who must be enrolled in, or accepted to, a degree program in the Greater Los Angeles area and/or University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Some units toward the degree are preferred, but not required. Two letters of recommendation are required. One must be academic, and the second may be academic or professional. Stan and Darlene Sorenson established the Stan and Darlene Sorenson Scholarship in 2018 with the purpose of providing scholarships to Ilwaco High School students who show academic or vocational potential and due to their economic circumstances are not able to pay their total college costs from personal or family resources. Applicants must be a graduating senior of Iwaco High School in Ilwaco, Washington, who plans to register or be currently registered at an accredited college, university, technical or career school. They must pursue a degree in Nursing or a technical, career degree or certificate. Renewal applicants will have special consideration or priority.
